Embodied Yoga: Working With Your Body, Not Against It
Embodied yoga, as pioneering teacher Vanda Scaravelli put it, is all about being guided by the felt sensations of your body as you move. It’s a practice of listening and responding, rather than forcing or striving.
My classes combine mindful movement, breath awareness, and creative flows. You’ll build strength, improve your range of motion, and release tension. Most importantly, by bringing attention to what you feel within, you’ll learn to understand and trust your body’s innate wisdom. It’s about growing into yourself from the inside out, feeling more comfortable and empowered both on and off the mat.

A Journey of Self-Discovery
In my classes, you can expect natural movement patterns, meaningful guidance, and deeper insights into your own body and how you move through the world. My aim is to help you feel comfortable in your own skin, giving you time to settle, get quiet, and truly listen to what your body needs. The insights are sometimes subtle, but always profound.
I first discovered yoga in my teens, and my understanding of the human body has continued to evolve. With foundational training in vinyasa flow yoga, I was then introduced to embodied yoga by an outstanding teacher in Liverpool, completing my Level 2 training with esteemed senior teacher Julie Martin of Brahmani Yoga in 2022.
My teaching incorporates an evolving understanding of fascia and movement science, drawing on the expertise of senior teachers and anatomy specialists like Gary Carter, Peter Blackaby, and Trina Altman. Whether you’re in a group class or a private session, my teaching is guided by these insights and, most importantly, by you.
